TULSA, Okla. -- The Virginia Tech doubles team of Patrick Daciek/Yoann Re advanced into Thursday’s main draw in the D’Novo All-American Men’s Tennis Championships. Tennis’ top collegiate players are participating in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) first national event of the 2009-10 tennis season which is being played at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Daciek (So., Severna Park, Md.)/Re (Sr., Verdun, Quebec, Canada) advanced with a walkover victory when the No. 4 seeds and 35th-ranked team of Matt Kecki/Jaak Poldma (Southern California) withdrew from the qualifying doubles competition. Their main draw opponents will be determined later today pending the outcome of the remaining qualifying matches.
Re, ranked 35th nationally, will see his first singles action in the main draw on Thursday against qualifier Jeff Dadamo (Texas A&M) at a time to be determined. Complete information can be obtained at http://www.itatennis.com/Events/ITANationalChampionships/MensAllAmerican.htm.
