Elsewhere, Sebastien Jacques (So., Magog, Quebec, Canada) won a tough three-set match, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, over Mathias Sarrazin at No. 4, Brandon Corace (Sr., Naples, Fla.) took the No. 5 contest, 6-4, 6-2, against Boris Fetbroyt and Patrick Daciek (Severna Park, Md.) took a 6-2, 6-3, victory at No. 6 versus Alex Aksanov.
Tech suffered its’ only singles loss in the No. 2 match where David Kwon upset Nicolas Delgado de Robles (
The Hokies recorded a doubles win at No. 3 as Corace/Daciek defeated Aksanov/Sarrazin, 8-5.
The Hokies return to action on Fri., March 6, when they host No. 33 Louisville in a 5 p.m. match at the
