AUBURN, Ala. -- The Virginia Tech’s men’s tennis team concluded play Sunday at the Auburn Spring Classic winning seven of 12 matches from No. 46 Arkansas. The three-day event, included players from Arkansas, No. 19 LSU, No. 28 Virginia Tech and the host No. 29 Tigers, and was played at the City of Auburn/Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Center.
The event was scored individually with no team scores counted in the official results. The Hokies, ranked No. 28 nationally, competed against players from No. 46 Arkansas on Sunday splitting the eight singles matches and winning three of the four doubles contests. Tech took seven of 12 matches against Auburn on Friday and nine of 12 vesus LSU on Saturday.

The Hokies return to action on Jan. 31 when they travel to Columbus, Ohio for the First- and Second rounds of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor Championships. Tech will face No.42 New Mexico in the opening round with the winner facing the No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 65 Stetson match on Sunday.
