Tocci wins division at Crimson Tide Invitational
Hokies conclude Fall schedule

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Virginia Tech freshman Corrado Degli Incerti Tocci easily won the final of his division Sunday at the Crimson Tide Fall Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The tournament included 116 players from 18 schools and was hosted by the University of Alabama.

Tocci (Fr., Reggio Emilia, Italy) won the final of the Steadman Shealy division with a 6-2, 6-0, victory over Victor Vaz (Jacksonville) in the final. In other Sunday results, Zach Pine (Fr., Vienna, Va.) lost his Ken Stabler division consolation semi, 6-3, 6-2, against Chris Duke (Jacksonville) while Jonathan Pine (Fr., Vienna, Va.) defeated Maxime Zamora (Troy), 6-1, 6-3, in a consolation match.

Yoann Re (Jr., Verdun, Quebec, Canada)/Tocci dropped their Red doubles semifinal, 8-5, versus the fifth-seeded team of Thomas Estrada/Lucas Jovita (South Florida). Zach Pine/Preston Lemon (Sr., Roanoke, Va.) lost, 8-4, to Andrew Felsenthal/John Lewis (Alabama) in the consolation doubles.

The event concludes the fall portion of the schedule and the Hokies return to action Jan. 23-25, when they return to Alabama for the Auburn Invitational.
