Hokies compliment class of 2018 with the additions of Durst, Jackson

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech head coach Mike Brizendine announced the signing if two additional players to be added to the incoming class of 2018 Saturday afternoon. Nathan Durst, from Loudon, Virginia and Vincent Jackson from Southfield, Michigan will join a talented crop of players that will look to continue the success of the Hokies’ program, which has advanced in the NCAA Tournament for two consecutive seasons.

INTRODUCING THE HOKIES

NATHAN DURST
Hometown: Loudon, Virginia
High School: Rock Ridge
Club: Loudon Soccer Club

Of Note: Durst made 1st team all-conference for Rock Ridge as a freshman and sophomore playing as a central midfielder. He also competed in basketball.

With Loudon County, Durst has won National Championship in 2016, as well as the Regional Championship. The club has won three state titles with Durst playing center back in 2014, 2015 and 2017.

VINCENT JACKSON
Hometown: Southfield Michigan
High School: Wylie E. Groves
Club: Michigan Wolves Crew Soccer Club

Of Note: Jackson has competed in numerous ODP teams, including the Michigan team and Region 2 teams. In 2018, Jackson has been named to IMG Academy’s 150 Player Pool.

He was included in TopDrawerSoccer’s NPL National Championship Best XI in 2015 when his club appeared in that competition.
