Tamburini named to All-ACC Academic Men's Soccer Team
Senior psychology major set to graduate in May

BLACKSBURG – The ACC league office announced its Men’s Soccer All-ACC Academic Team Thursday morning. The Hokies were represented by defender Elias Tamburini who earned his first selection.
Tamburini played every minute for the Hokies in 2017 helping guide Tech to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season.
In 2017, Tamburini led the Hokies in assists with five, including providing the crucial pass on the game-winning goal in the First Round of the ACC Tournament against NC State.
The Helsinki, Finland native concludes his two-year career at Tech with 42 starts in as many games played. He recorded two goals and nine assists during his time in Blacksburg. Tamburini advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in 2016 and helped the 2017 squad move on to the Second Round in 2017.
