GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech men’s soccer senior Daniel Lauretano has been named to the 2015 All-ACC Academic Men’s Soccer Team for the third time in his career as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference this morning.
Lauretano joins 37 other members as a part of the team and is a Communication Studies major. He played in 15 games and earned 14 starts this past season for the Hokies. He scored two goals and added an assist and was tied for fifth on the team with five total points. He played 1,119 minutes and recorded 26 shots including 14 on goal.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
