CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The ninth-seeded Virginia Tech (7-7-2, 2-5-1 ACC) men’s soccer team travels to take on the eighth-seeded University of Virginia (9-5-2, 3-3-1 ACC) on Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the ACC Men’s Soccer Championship.
It marks the first-ever matchup between the programs in postseason play. The winner of the match will travel to top-seeded Notre Dame for a quarterfinal match on Sunday. Last time the two teams met, Virginia walked away with a 1-0 victory in Charlottesville.
