BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech men’s soccer team opens up its home schedule with a non-conference match against Longwood on Tuesday evening at Thompson Field.
The Hokies have scored two goals this season. One of those goals was a game-winner from junior Brad Vorv against SIUE and the other came from freshman Dylan Huber in a loss to SIUE. Thus far, Ben Lundgaard has played every minute in goal for Tech.
Longwood comes into the match against the Hokies with a 1-1 record boasting a single win over VMI. Longwood has scored one goal while allowing one goal this season. Junior forward Zach Crandall paces the Lancers’ offense with one goal. He also leads the tem in shots with eight total. Sophomore Dan Campos has one assist on the year. Sophomore goalkeeper Carlos Canas has started and completed both games for the Lancers this season. He boasts eight total saves and an impressive .889 save percentage.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. The game also serves as International Night. Live stats and live video are available for the match.
