BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech men’s soccer team will play six exhibition matches throughout the next two months as head coach Mike Brizendine has announced his team's spring schedule. Tech will split their time between playing on the road and at home in Blacksburg. Home matches include Tusculum, Charlotte and its annual alumni match.
The Hokies open the spring season on Saturday, March 2 in Blacksburg as they host Tusculum College at 4 p.m. Three weeks later, Tech will head north to Lynchburg to face Liberty on March 23 at 2 p.m.
During the first two weeks of April, Tech will take on a pair of North Carolina teams. The Hokeis will host 2011 NCAA runner-up Charlotte at 5 p.m., on April 6 before heading to Greensboro, N.C., the following Saturday to square off with UNC-Greensboro at 11 a.m., at Bryan Park.
The final home match of the spring will take place on Sunday, April 21, as the Hokies play their annual alumni game against former Tech players. The friendly kicks off at 10 a.m., at Thompson Field.
The Hokies will wrap up the 2013 spring season a week later in Radford as they take on the Highlanders at 4 p.m.
