Men's Soccer releases spring schedule
Hokies host back-to-back matches in April at Thompson Field

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech’s men’s soccer team released its spring schedule for 2011 on Friday. The Hokies will play seven matches throughout the months of March and April, including two home contests at Thompson Field.

The spring season kicks off on Saturday, March 19 in Martinsville, Va., at the Smith River Men’s College Showcase. Tech will play a pair of matches, first against Appalachian State at 12:30 p.m., followed by High Point at 4 p.m. One week later on Saturday, March 26, the Hokies head to Harrisonburg, Va., to face James Madison at 4 p.m.

On Sunday, April 3, Tech travels to Richmond, Va., to face the VCU Rams at 3 p.m. The Hokies then return home for two contests at Thompson Field, first challenging VMI on Wednesday, April 13 at 7 p.m. Four days later, on Sunday April 17, current Tech athletes will face off against VT Alumni in the annual friendly set to start at 10 a.m. The Hokies' final contest of the spring season will be in Charlotte, N.C., where they will take on UNC Charlotte on Wednesday, April 20 at 7 p.m.
