Former Hokie Chase Harrison called up for D.C. United
The Notebook
Former Virginia Tech goalkeeper and volunteer assistant Chase Harrison has recently been called up as a first team substitute for the D.C. United, a Major League Soccer program out of Washington, D.C.  After spending majority of the 2010 season with the Richmond Kickers (United Soccer Leagues Second Division), Harrison joined the United after being asked to serve as a backup keeper in their September 11 match against Toronto FC.  At Tech, Harrison was a record-setting goalkeeper from 2002-2005, and after his collegiate career, served as the goalkeeper instructor and an assistant coach for three seasons.
