Players reported today, eager to get back into the swing of things. Report day is an easy day, albeit not the most exciting. The start of camp is always a good thing though, as it means the start of the season is almost here.
The day kicked off in the afternoon with a brief team meeting, before the guys headed off to their annual NCAA meeting. After being cooped up for nearly two hours in meetings everyone had a chance to relax and be themselves as individual photos were taken.
The question for most was to smile or not to smile. For some it was one or the other, nothing in between, while others attempted to see how many different looks they could pull off. The look of intimidation wasn’t easy for several as keeping a straight face was near impossible with teammates in the background trying to get them to laugh.
From there it was time for team photos on Thompson Field where Coach Brizendine kept the guys in check, for the most part, making sure everyone was where they should be prior to going to his spot so the photo could be snapped.
The end of day one was capped off by a team dinner, which by how quiet it was, must have been welcomed by all. Not much food left over after a group of hungry athletes.
