Tech junior wraps up 2017-18 season at NCAAs

Final Results
Virginia Tech men’s golfer Mark Lawrence Jr., posted a three-round total of 222 and finished in 65th place at the NCAA Raleigh Regional on Wednesday afternoon. The three-day tournament was played at the par 71, 7,273-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Lawrence posted a 76 on Monday and followed that with a 72 on Tuesday. He finished with a 74 on Wednesday. Doug Ghim of Texas won the individual portion of the tournament with a 17-under 196. Lawrence competed in the regional as an individual.
Texas won the team title at 39-under 813 and joined Duke, host NC State, Augusta and Arizona State in advancing to the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma later this month. Pontus Nyholm of Campbell defeated Hayden Buckley of Missouri and Marcus Byrd of Middle Tennessee State in on the third playoff hole to advance to Stillwater as an individual.
