Sarit Suwannarut top amateur at Thailand pro event
Rising sophomore with impressive summer showing

Virginia Tech golfer Sarit Suwannarut was the low amateur at the recent Betagro All Thailand Championship. The professional event, part of the All Thailand professional golf tour, was played at the par 70, 6,941-yard Lamchabang International Country Club in Cholburi, Thailand from June 29-July 2.
Suawannarut, a rising sophomore from Bangkok, Thailand, posted rounds of 67-68-72-76=283 to tie for 50th place overall and claim low amateur honors. Last summer, before arriving at Virginia Tech, Suwannarut won the 2016 ASEAN PGA Tour Singha Pattaya Open in his native Thailand.
