Hokies add Tar Heel Intercollegiate to schedule
Event replaces cancelled Primland Invitational
BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech men’s golf team has made an adjustment to its schedule and has added the Tar Heel Intercollegiate to the slate. The event, to take place Oct. 8-9, will be played at the par 72, 7,220-yard Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The schedule update was necessitated by the cancellation of the Primland Invitational earlier this week.
The 13-team tournament boasts a strong field from the Mid-Atlantic region. Finley Golf Course, on the UNC campus, is known as one of the finest courses in the state and in collegiate golf. Opened in 1949, the course was renovated in 1999 by famed golf architect Tom Fazio.
