Primland Invitational play canceled for Monday
Organizers hopeful to be able to play Tuesday morning

MEADOWS OF DAN, Va. – The opening day of competition at the Primland Invitational on Monday has been canceled due to heavy fog and rain in southern Virginia. The event is scheduled for the par 72, 7,053-yard Primland Resort course in Meadows of Dan, Virginia.

The inclement weather never allowed the competitors on the course on Monday, which had previously been set for 36 holes of play. Tournament officials hope to be able to play 18 holes of competition on Tuesday, the final day of the event.

The Hokies are one of three ACC teams in the 10-team field. Wake Forest is the host of the event, now in its third year.
