NEW LONDON, N.C. – Virginia Tech has a two-day total of 16-over-par 592 and is in ninth place at the 58th Annual ACC Golf Championship at the par 72, 7,102 yard Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point in New London, N.C. Tech shot 299 on Friday and improved to 293 on Saturday.

Freshman Bryce Chalkley (Richmond, Virginia) shot a three-under-par 69 and is tied for 25th entering the final round with a two-day total of 146. He trails leader Paul Haley of Georgia Tech by 10 strokes.

Junior Blake Redmond (Sugar Land, Texas) is tied for 31st at 148 and sophomore Mikey Moyers (Stanardsville, Virginia) and senior Garland Green (Tazewell, Virginia) are tied for 37th at 150. Senior Marshall Bailey (Fincastle, Virginia) is tie for 44th at 152.

Defending champion Georgia Tech is in first place with a two-round total of 17-under-par 559, nine strokes ahead of Duke, Clemson is third at 572, Virginia is fourth at 575 and Florida State is fifth at 576. Wake Forest is sixth at 581, NC State is seventh at 582 and North Carolina is eighth at 584, eight strokes ahead of the Hokies. Maryland is 10th at 604 and Boston College is 11th at 631.

The final round will be played on Sunday.
