Moyers fails to advance at the U.S. Amateur
Hokie sophomore finishes tied for 108th

DUPONT, Wash. – Virginia Tech golfer Mikey Moyers shot a second round three-over-par 75 and failed to advance out of stroke play at the 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship on the 7,420-yard, par 72 Home Course in Dupont, Washington on Tuesday.

Moyers, a sophomore from Stanardsville, Virginia, shot an opening round 77 at the Chambers Bay Golf Course on Monday. His two-day total of nine-over-par 152 tied for 108th place. Only the top 64 players advance to match play, beginning Wednesday.
