Virginia Tech golfer Scott Vincent shot a three-round total of two-under-par 212 and finished in 32^nd place at the weather-shortened World Amateur Team Championship Sunday in Antalya, Turkey. The tournament was shortened from 72 to 54 holes due to heavy rain and thunderstorms in Turkey.

Vincent led Zimbabwe to a tie for 17^th place finish in the team competition. He shot a final-round three-under-par 68 on Sunday to lead his native Zimbabwe’s team. He had five birdies and two bogeys on Sunday and his total of 212 led the three-man Zimbabwe team in the tournament.

The United States team won the event with a record-setting score of 24-under-par 404, five strokes better than Mexico at the par-71 Antalya Golf Club. The USA won the Eisenhower Trophy for the 14th time. Mexico’s Sebastian Vazquez, who Vincent was paired with on Thursday, won the medalist honors with a 15-under-par 199, one stroke better than Chris Williams of the United States and the University of Washington.
