The Virginia Tech men's basketball team travel to Lexington, Kentucky to take on eighth-ranked Kentucky on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. in Rupp Arena. The game will be shown live on ESPN2 and the ESPN app.

TODAY’S GAME
The Hokies enter the game 9-1 on the season. The Wildcats are 8-1 this season. Kentucky is ranked eighth in the AP poll and fifth in the USA Today coaches poll. Tech is receiving votes in both polls.

THE SERIES
Kentucky leads the all-time series, 3-1. Tech lost the last meeting, 84-60, in the second round of the 1996 NCAA Tournament in Dallas, Texas. The Hokies are 1-1 all-time in Lexington, but have never played in Rupp Arena. Tech won the last meeting in Lexington, 80-77, defeating the third-ranked Wildcats in Memorial Coliseum to open the 1962-63 season
