The Virginia Tech men's basketball team travels to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Feb. 14 to take on the Panthers at 7 p.m. The game will be shown nationally on ESPN2.

THE HOKIES (17-7, 6-6)
The Hokies enter the game 17-7 overall and 6-6 in ACC action. Tech defeated No. 12/13 Virginia, 80-78, in double overtime on Sunday night in Cassell Coliseum. Seth Allen led the Hokies with 20 points and scored the game-winning basket in the lane with 3.1 seconds remaining.

THE PANTHERS (14-11, 3-9)
Pittsburgh enters the game 14-11 overall and 3-9 in league play. The Panthers defeated Syracuse, 80-75, on Saturday afternoon in the Petersen Events Center. Michael Young leads the Panthers in scoring at 20.8 points per game and Jamel Artis is averaging 19.9 points per game. Pittsburgh is coached by Kevin Stallings, in his first season at Pitt.

THE SERIES
The Panthers lead the series, 7-5. Tech won the last meeting, 65-61, in Blacksburg last season and Pitt downed the Hokies, 90-71, in the Petersen Event Center last season. Tech is 1-4 in road games against Pitt and 0-3 in games at the Petersen Event Center. Virginia Tech is 2-2 against the Panthers since Pitt joined the ACC in the 2013-14 season.
