THE HOKIES (15-5, 4-4)
The Hokies enter the game 15-5 overall and 4-4 in ACC action. Tech lost at No. 9/6 North Carolina on Thursday night in the Smith Center. Seth Allen led the Hokies with 19 points and five assists and Justin Robinson added 17 points and seven assists.

THE EAGLES (9-12, 2-6)
Boston College enters the game 9-12 overall and 2-6 in league play. The Eagles lost at Miami, 78-77, on Wednesday night. Jerome Robinson leads the Eagles in scoring at 20.0 points per game and Ky Bowman is averaging 12.9 points per game. Boston College is coached by Jim Christian, in his third season at BC.

THE SERIES
This is the 28th all-time meeting between the two schools. The Eagles lead the series 18-9. Tech won the last meeting, 71-56, last season in Chestnut Hill. Tech is 6-7 in home games against BC. Virginia Tech is 7-12 against the Eagles since BC joined the ACC in 2005. All but one of the previous 27 meetings between the two schools have been while Tech and BC were members of the Big East and now Atlantic Coast Conferences.
