The Virginia Tech men's basketball team travels to Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Thursday, Jan. 26, to play the ninth-ranked UNC Tar Heels at 8 p.m. The game will be shown nationally on ESPN.

THE HOKIES (15-4, 4-3)
The Hokies enter the game 15-4 overall and 4-3 in ACC action. Tech defeated Clemson, 82-81, on Sunday night in Littlejohn Coliseum. Seth Allen scored 17 points to lead the Hokies and Zach LeDay added 16 points in the victory.
THE TAR HEELS (18-3, 6-1)
North Carolina enters the game 18-3 overall and 6-1 in league play. UNC is ranked ninth in the AP poll and sixth in the USA Today Coaches poll. The Tar Heels defeated Boston College, 90-82, in Chestnut Hill on Saturday afternoon. Justin Jackson leads the Tar Heels in scoring at 18.2 points per game and Joel Berry II is averaging 15.5 points per game. North Carolina is coached by Roy Williams, in his 14th season at UNC.
THE SERIES
This is the 80th all-time meeting between the two schools. The Tar Heels lead the series 66-13 and won the last meeting, 75-70, in Cassell Coliseum last season. Virginia Tech is 5-30 in road games against UNC.
