THE HOKIES (14-4, 3-3)
The Hokies enter the game 14-4 overall and 3-3 in ACC action. Tech defeated Georgia Tech, 62-61, on Wednesday night in Cassell Coliseum. Seth Allen and Zach LeDay scored 17 points each to lead the Hokies and Chris Clarke recorded his third double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
THE TIGERS (11-7, 1-5)
Clemson enters the game 11-7 overall and 1-5 in league play. The Tigers lost at Louisville, 92-60. Jaron Blossomgame leads the Tigers in scoring at 17.9 points per game and Avry Holmes is averaging 11.1 points per game. Clemson is coached by Brad Brownell, in his seventh season at CU.
THE SERIES
This is the 32nd all-time meeting between the two schools. The Hokies lead the series 16-15 and won the last meeting, 60-57, in Cassell Coliseum last season. Virginia Tech is 5-9 in road games against Clemson. Virginia Tech is 8-10 against the Tigers since the Hokies joined the ACC in 2004, including 7-10 in conference regular season games.
