THE HOKIES (13-3, 2-2)
The Hokies enter the game 13-3 overall and 2-2 in ACC action. Tech defeated Syracuse, 83-73, in Cassell Coliseum on Tuesday night. Zach LeDay led five Hokies in double figures with 22 points. Justin Bibbs added 18 points in the victory.

THE FIGHTING IRISH (15-2, 4-0)
Notre Dame enters the game 15-2 overall and 4-0 in league play. The Fighting Irish defeated Miami, 67-62, in Coral Gables on Thursday night. Bonzie Colson leads Notre Dame in scoring, averaging 15.9 points per game. Steve Vasturia averages 14.7 points per game. Notre Dame is coached by Mike Brey, in his 17th season in South Bend.

THE SERIES
This is the eighth all-time meeting between the two schools. The Irish lead the series 7-1 and have won the last seven games in the series. Tech’s lone victory against Notre Dame is the 92-91 overtime victory to claim the 1973 NIT Championship in Madison Square Garden. Tech is 0-3 in home games against Notre Dame.
