THE HOKIES (12-2)
The Hokies enter the game 12-2 overall and 1-1 in ACC action. Tech lost at NC State, 104-78, on Wednesday night in Raleigh. Ahmed Hill led four Hokies in double figures with 17 points. The Hokies are 21st in the AP poll and 23rd in the USA Today Coaches poll.
THE Seminoles (14-1)
Florida State enters the game 14-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. The Seminoles have not played since last Saturday, when they won at Virginia, 60-58. Dwayne Bacon leads the Seminoles in scoring, averaging 18.1 points per game. Florida State is coached by Leonard Hamilton, in his 15th season at Florida State. The Seminoles are 12th in the AP poll and 13th in the USA Today Coaches poll.
THE SERIES
This is the 53rd all-time meeting between the two schools. The Seminoles lead the series 30-22. Tech has won the last two meetings, most recently a 96-85 victory in the ACC Tournament last season. Tech won both meetings last season. Tech is 5-18 in road games in the series and have not won in Tallahassee since 1990.
