Hokies host Ole Miss in Cassell Coliseum

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech men's basketball team hosts the University of Mississippi on Sunday, Dec. 11 at noon in Cassell Coliseum.

THE HOKIES (7-1)
The Hokies are 7-1 on the season. The Hokies returned to Cassell Coliseum on Wednesday and defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore, 75-59. Zach LeDay led the Hokies with 23 points and six rebounds, while Justin Robinson added 12 points. Seth Allen scored 11 points and dished out a career-high-tying eight assists, with just one turnover.

THE REBELS (6-2)
Ole Miss enters the game 6-2 on the season. The Rebels defeated Memphis, 85-77, in Oxford, Mississippi on Dec. 3. Ole Miss is led by Deandre Burnett, averaging 21.6 points per game and Sebastian Saiz, averaging 14.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. The Rebels are coached by Andy Kennedy, in his 11th season at Ole Miss.

THE SERIES
This is the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools and the Rebels hold a 2-1 advantage in the series. Ole Miss won the last meeting, 81-72, on March 26, 2008, in Cassell Coliseum in the third round of the 2008 NIT. Tech is 0-1 in home games against the Rebels. Tech is 51-57 all-time against schools currently in the SEC.
