FULLERTON, Calif. - The Virginia Tech men's basketball team will play Texas A&M on Friday, Nov. 25 at 5:30 p.m. ET in Titan Gym on the campus of Cal. State Fullerton. This is a semifinal round game of the 2016 Wooden Legacy.

THE HOKIES (4-0)
The Hokies are 4-0 to open the 2016-17 season. Most recently, the Hokies defeated New Mexico, 92-72, in the first round of the Wooden Legacy in Fullerton, California. Justin Robinson scored a career-high 22 points and tied a career high with eight assists. Ahmed Hill added 18 points for the Hokies. Tech shot 95 percent from the line in the game.

THE AGGIES (3-1)
Texas A&M enters the game 3-1 on the season. In the Aggies’ last game, Texas A&M defeated Cal. State Northridge, 95-73, in the first round of the Wooden Legacy in Fullerton, California on Thursday. The Aggies are led in scoring by sophomore D.J. Hogg, averaging 15.3 points per game.

THE SERIES
This is just the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools. Texas A&M holds a 2-1 edge in the previous meetings. The last time the two school met was on Dec. 20, 1980, as the Aggies defeated Tech, 55-52, in the Virginia Tech Classic in Cassell Coliseum. Tech’s only win in the series was in the first game played between the two schools, a 101-74 Tech win in 1965 in the All College Tournament in Oklahoma City. Tech is 51-56 all-time against schools currently in the SEC.
