BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department has announced season ticket renewals for the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball seasons will begin on June 7.
Hokie Club members and last season’s basketball season ticket holders should be receiving a postcard in the mail with important renewal deadlines. Season tickets can be renewed by visiting hokietickets.com/purl. Renewals are available online, in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in Lane Stadium or over the phone.
Multiple options are available to better serve the ticket-purchasing community. Popular incentives return and features added last year continue to allow fans to customize all areas of their in-game experience.
Benefits from purchasing either men’s or women’s basketball season tickets or both include savings over individual game tickets, access to personal season ticket account executive, special offers from Virginia Tech’s online apparel shop, option to purchase mini plans and single game tickets before the public, exclusive items and giveaways, in-game recognitions and more.
“This will be an exciting season for both our men’s and women’s basketball programs,” Director of Athletics Whit Babcock said. “There is growth and positive momentum in both and the experience of attending a game at VTC Carilion Court - Cassell Coliseum has never been better. The Hokie Nation has been so supportive, we appreciate that; they have once again made Cassell one of the best environments in college basketball.”
MEN’S BASKETBALL
The popular tiered ticket pricing returns once again this season, with all season tickets remaining the same price as each of the last two years. The primary, high-demand areas, “The Paint” has season tickets available for $495, or $445 for faculty/staff. The mid-range areas, “The Top of the Key” are priced at $360, and the upper regions of Cassell Coliseum, “Beyond the Arc” are just $199 for a season’s seat.
The Hokies are coming off an exceptional season. The Hokies defeated two top-10 teams and won 20 games for first time in five years. Tech was 14-5 at home, including a 7-2 record in ACC play. The Hokies finished the regular season winning the final five games and followed that with a win over Florida State in the ACC Tournament. Tech made its first post season appearance since 2011, advancing to the second round of the NIT.
The popular Early Bird Special returns this year. Fans who take advantage of this and order season tickets by the June 22 deadline will receive a replica basketball jersey. To ensure priority seat selection, season tickets must be purchased by July 19.
Purchasing season tickets allows fans many benefits overall. Season ticket holders will enjoy savings from single-game ticket prices, depending on the game and price level, ACC Tournament tickets (based on availability), messages on the video board and more.

For women’s basketball games, season tickets are available for $90 for an adult reserved seat ($80 for faculty/staff), $30 for a youth reserved seat, $70 for an adult general admission season pass and $25 for a youth general admission season pass.
This should be an exciting season for the women’s basketball team, as Tech welcomes Kenny Brooks as the new head coach. Brooks comes to Blacksburg from JMU, where he took the Dukes to 11 consecutive post-season appearances, including six NCAA berths.
A season ticket for the women’s games includes eight home ACC games, plus a match-up with Nebraska in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Those who renew by June 22 will also receive a replica basketball jersey.
Additional benefits for purchasing women’s basketball season tickets include savings of more than 30 percent from an adult reserved ticket, free parking adjacent to Cassell Coliseum, exclusive giveaways, opportunities for messages on the video board, as well as a chance to be recognized as the Season Ticket Holder of the Game.
