Turner Sports and CBS Sports have added Virginia Tech men's basketball coach Buzz Williams as guest studio analyst for the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship airing across TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV. Williams will join the Atlanta studio team for Regional Semifinals coverage on Thursday, March 24, and Friday, March 25.
Williams has posted a 184-123 record in nine seasons as Head Coach of the University of New Orleans (2006-07), Marquette University (2008-14) and Virginia Tech (2014-16) and made five NCAA Tournament appearances. He led Virginia Tech to the sixth 20-win season of his coaching career this season. Tech advanced to the second round of the NIT this season.
Regional Semifinal game coverage will be held Thursday and Friday (6 p.m.-Midnight ET both days) with all 67 tournament games available live in their entirety across four national television networks for the sixth consecutive year – TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV – and via NCAA March Madness Live. This year’s NCAA Final Four National Semifinals on Saturday, April 2, along with the National Championship on Monday, April 4, will be televised by TBS.
