GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech forward Zach LeDay has been named honorable mention All-ACC, as selected by the conference coaches on Monday morning.
LeDay, a redshirt junior from Dallas, Texas, leads the Hokies in scoring, at 15.2 points per game and in rebounding at 7.6 rebounds per game. A transfer from USF playing his first year at Virginia Tech, LeDay has scored in double figures in 25 of the Hokies’ 31 games and has a team-high nine double-doubles on the season. He also has recorded eight games of at least 20 points this season. LeDay also earned honorable mention All-ACC in a vote by the conference’s media association on Sunday.
The Hokies, 18-13 overall and 10-8 in conference play, open the 2016 New York Life ACC Tournament on Wednesday night as the sixth seed. Tech will play the winner of Tuesday’s Florida State-Boston College game at 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
