Virginia Tech closes out the 2015-16 regular season on Saturday afternoon, as it hosts No. 7/7 Miami. Prior to the game, the Hokies will honor graduating senior Shane Henry on Senior Day, with ceremonies beginning at 3:45 p.m. The game, tipping off at 4 p.m., will be televised live by The ACC Network.

About Today’s Game

The Hokies enter today’s game 17-13 overall and 9-8 in ACC action … Miami is 24-5 on the season and 13-4 in league play … Miami defeated the Hokies, 65-49, in Coral Gables on Feb. 15 … Miami is ranked seventh in both polls this week.

Last Time Out: VT 65, Pitt 61

The Hokies pushed their ACC winning streak to four games with a 65-61 win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday night in Cassell Coliseum … The Hokies kept the game close in the first half and used hot shooting and ball-possession to take the lead and hold on for the win … Zach LeDay recorded his ninth double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds and Seth Allen and Justin Robinson added 10 points each in the win.

Series Against the Hurricanes

The Hurricanes lead the all-time series, 18-12 … Miami won the last meeting, 65-49, in Coral Gables in February and has won the last five meetings in the series … Tech is 6-6 in home games in the series, all being played in Cassell Coliseum … All games played in this series have been either Big East or ACC games.

Closing In On...

With Zach LeDay’s 454 points and Seth Allen’s 417 points, the Hokies have two 400-plus point scorers on the same team since Malcolm Delaney (637 pts.) and Jeff Allen (454 pts.) accomplished the feat in the 2010-11 season.

Saturday in the Cassell

The Hokies enter today’s final regular season home game against Miami with an impressive 8-2 mark in Saturday games ... Tech is 6-1 in home Saturday games this season and 3-0 in home Saturday ACC games ... Both Virginia Tech home games in February were Saturday ACC victories.

Getting It Done In The Classroom

Devin Wilson and Jalen Hudson have been named to the 2016 All-ACC Academic team … This is Wilson’s second year on the team and Hudson makes it for the first time.
