Virginia Tech travels to Coral Gables to take on No. 11/10 Miami on Wednesday night. The game, tipping off at 9 p.m., will be televised by regional sports networks.

About Tonight’s Game

The Hokies enter tonight’s game 13-12 overall and 5-7 in ACC action … Miami is 20-4 on the season and 9-3 in league play … The Hurricanes are ranked 11th in the AP poll and 12th in the coaches poll this week.

Last Time Out: #7/7 UVa 67, VT 49

The Hokies lost at No. 7/7 Virginia, 67-49, on Feb. 9 … A pair of freshmen led the Hokies in scoring, as Justin Robinson scored 16 points and Chris Clarke, returning for the first time since December foot surgery, added 11 points.

Series Against the Hurricanes

Miami leads the all-time series, 17-12, and have won the last four meetings … Virginia Tech is 4-8 against Miami in road games, and 4-6 in games in the BankUnited Center … Tech is 10-14 against Miami in regular season conference competition, including games in both the ACC and Big East.

He’s Back!

Hokie freshman Chris Clarke returned to the Tech line-up in the loss at UVa … He played 13 minutes, scoring 11 points and grabbing four rebounds … Clarke had miss the previous 12 games following surgery on his right foot on Dec. 29 … The injury occurred working out during the Christmas break … Clarke was averaging 10.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game prior to his return.
