In the Hokies’ 93-91 win over Wake Forest on Wednesday night, Justin Bibbs scored a career-high 31 points, bring his old high mark of 31 points in the win over Grambling earlier this season ... Bibbs was 12-18 from the floor, including 3-of-7 from three-point range ... It is the most points scored by a Hokie since Jalen Hudson scored 32 points against Wake Forest in the first round of last season’s ACC Tournament.
5’s Biggest Game, So Far
Also in the win over Wake Forest, freshman point guard Justin Robinson scored a career-high 17 points for the Hokies, playing a career-high 34 minutes off the bench ... JRob was 10-of 12 from the free throw line and also led the team with four rebounds ... It is his third double-figure scoring game of the season.
Nine Tips
With the win over Wake Forest on Wednesday night, the Hokies have had two of four scheduled 9 p.m. tip-offs this season in ACC action … Tech has won the first two such games, a 70-68 win over No. 4/4 Virginia on Jan. 4, at home in Cassell Coliseum and the 93-91 win over Wake Forest ... The Hokies’ last two 9 p.m. tips will be mid-week road games, Feb. 17 at Miami and Feb. 23 at Boston College.
