BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech athletics department has announced a men’s basketball five-game Mini Plan for Virginia Tech students. The plan assures students a seat in Cassell Coliseum for upcoming ACC games.
The mini plan is priced at $70 and includes a ticket to the North Carolina, Louisville, Clemson, Florida State and Pittsburgh games. There is limited availability of the mini plans; students are encouraged to purchase them as soon as possible.
Students who purchase the plan will guarantee the same seat for all five games. Seats in this section are potentially closer to the action than seats acquired through the lottery. Though there is special pricing for this mini plan, students who purchased season tickets received the best location and value, overall.
The Hokies began ACC play on Saturday, Jan. 2 with a thrilling 73-68 overtime victory against NC State. The aim of this promotion is to maximize student support and attendance, leading to a greater presence for the loud and proud student section of Cassell Coliseum.
The plan is on sale to Virginia Tech students now and the sale will end on Jan. 19 at 4 p.m., or when availability is exhausted.
In other student ticket news, the lottery for the Wake Forest game on Jan. 13 will close on Jan. 10 at 4 p.m. and the lottery for the Jan. 24 game against North Carolina will open Jan. 16 and close Jan. 21. To sign up for the lottery, visit http://www.hokietickets.com/student/lottery/
Students are encouraged to join the Gobbler Student Rewards program. Points are earned for check-in at Tech athletic events, with prizes and rewards at various thresholds. For more information on the program, please visit this link: http://sites.superfanu.com/gobblerstudentrewards.com
