Tech-WVU basketball game a sellout
Hokies looking to avenge last season's loss

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced Tuesday that the Hokies’ men’s basketball game against West Virginia on Dec. 30 at Virginia Tech Carilion Court is a sellout.

A limited number of tickets have been set aside for Virginia Tech faculty and staff since the game is part of Faculty/Staff Day, and faculty and staff members can claim those available tickets 90 minutes prior to the opening tip.

Also, the game is part of Montgomery County School Day. Kids with vouchers and parents who purchased their tickets in advance will be admitted to the game per the promotional flyer instructions.

The Hokies have won three of the past five meetings between the schools, but lost in Morgantown, West Virginia last year. Tipoff for the game is slated for noon, and it will be televised on ESPNU.

The Hokies begin ACC play in early January, with home games against NC State on Jan. 2 and rival Virginia on Jan. 4. Tickets are available for both games and can be purchase here, or by calling the Virginia Tech Athletics Ticket Office at 800-VA TECH4.
