Basketball season tickets to go on sale Tuesday
No increase again this season for either men's or women's tickets

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Season tickets for the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball seasons will go on sale on Tuesday, August 4, beginning at 10 a.m.

Multiple options are available to better serve the ticket-purchasing community. Popular incentives return from last season and new features added this off-season will allow fans to customize all areas of their in-game experience.

“The excitement is growing for the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball seasons,” Director of Athletics Whit Babcock said. “Both programs are on the rise and offer attractive home schedules for our fans, students, and alumni. With all the continued enhancements offered, Cassell Coliseum will be the place to be this season.”

MEN’S BASKETBALL

The popular tiered ticket pricing returns this season, with all season tickets remaining the same price as 2014-2015. The primary high-demand areas, “The Paint” have season tickets available for $495, or $445 for faculty/staff. The mid-range areas, “The Top of the Key” are priced at $360, and the upper regions of Cassell Coliseum, “Beyond the Arc”, are just $199 for a season’s seat.

Purchasing season tickets now allows fans many overall benefits. Season ticket holders will enjoy up to a 15 percent savings from single-game tickets (depending on the game and price level), a personal season ticket service executive, an option to purchase single game tickets prior to the general public, ACC Tournament tickets (based on availability), season ticket holder recognitions during select games and messages on the video board.

NEW! Courtside at Cassell

New this season is Courtside at Cassell, an exclusive courtside seating opportunity for men’s and women’s basketball.

Men’s basketball Courtside seats are $5,000 per seat ($20,000 per table), plus the price of a season ticket ($495). The $5,000 per seat donation breaks down to a $1,250 donation to the annual scholarship fund and a $3,750 per seat donation. This new feature includes in-seat concierge service featuring complimentary menu items, reserved VIP parking, a private entrance into Cassell and more. Those interested in purchasing courtside seats should call the Hokie Club at 540-231-6618 or email hokieclub@vt.edu.

In the last two years, Virginia Tech installed new, high-definition videoboards in each end zone, a new state-of-the-art sound system and all-new arena lighting; all aimed to enhance fan experience and interaction during games.

This season, the Hokies will offer an enhanced home non-conference men’s basketball slate, highlighted by a visit from arch-rival West Virginia and a Big Ten/ACC Challenge home game against Northwestern. In conference play, national powers North Carolina and Virginia will visit Blacksburg, as well as the first appearance of Louisville in Cassell Coliseum in more than 20 years.

The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team will once again welcome a competitive non-conference schedule to accompany the always-tough ACC slate. Duke, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Miami will highlight the conference portion, while Providence plays in Cassell Coliseum in a key non-conference match-up, as does New River Valley rival Radford.
