Virginia Tech travels to Clemson on Saturday afternoon to face the Tigers in the only meeting of the season between the two school. About Today’s Game

The Hokies enter today’s game 10-14 overall and 2-9 in ACC action … Clemson is 14-10 overall and 6-6 in conference play … This is the only meeting between the two schools this season.

The Hokies earned their second ACC win of the season with a 65-63 thriller over Georgia Tech on Monday night in Cassell Coliseum ... Tech trailed by 10 points with five minutes remaining, but took their first lead of the second half on a Malik Müller three-pointer from the corner with 16.1 second remaining to claim the victory ... Müller led the Hokies with 17 points and four assists ... Adam Smith added 15 points and Shane Henry scored 10 points in the win ... Tech was out rebounded 39-27, but the Hokies shot 52.1 percent from the field, including 41.7 percent from three ... The Hokies held the Yellow Jackets to just 37.7 percent from the floor, including 21.1 percent from three-point range.

Series Against the Tigers

This will be the 30th meeting between the two schools, in a series that began in 1925 ... The Hokies lead the all-time series, 15-14 … Tech lost the last meeting, a 56-49 loss in Cassell Coliseum last January … Virginia Tech is 5-8 against Clemson in road games, and 2-8 in games in Littlejohn Coliseum ... Tech is 7-10 in conference games against Clemson ... The Hokies defeated the Tigers, 59-57, in Cassell Coliseum on Jan. 15, 2005 to earn their first-ever ACC victory ... Of the previous 29 meetings, 27 have been in the regular season ... Tech defeated Clemson, 68-63, in the 2012 ACC Tournament in Philips Arena in Atlanta and the Hokies defeated the Tigers, 62-54, in the opening round of the 1995 NIT in Cassell Coliseum.
