Florida State is 8-6 overall and 0-1 in conference play, following a 62-55 loss at Mississippi State on Friday night ... This game begins a three-game road swing for the Hokies ... After not playing this weekend, Tech will travel to nationally-ranked Louisville next Tuesday night and then play at nationally-ranked North Carolina a week from Sunday.

The Hokies dropped a heartbreaker to Syracuse, 68-66, on Saturday afternoon in Cassell Coliseum ... The Hokies trailed by 19 points at the half, but twice cut the Orange lead to two points late in the contest ... With 4.3 seconds remaining, Justin Bibbs grabbed a rebound off a missed SU free throw and drove the ball up court ... Malik Müller took a three-pointer from the corner, but came up just short at the buzzer and the Hokies fell by two points ... Bibbs recorded his first career double-double, tying a career-high with 22 points and grabbing a career-high 11 rebounds ... Devin Wilson added 13 points and eight assists.

Series Against The Seminoles

This will be the 49th meeting between to two schools, in a series that began in 1968 ... The Hokies are 20-28 all-time against the Seminoles … Tech lost the last meeting, 70-50 in Tallahassee on Feb. 5, 2014 … Tech is 5-17 against FSU in road games and 16-21 in conference games (5-9 in the ACC and 11-12 in Metro Conference games) … This is the first of two meetings between the two schools this season.
