The Hokies trailed by 19 points at the half, but twice cut the Orange lead to two points late in the contest ... With 4.3 seconds remaining, Justin Bibbs grabbed a rebound off a missed SU free throw and drove the ball up court ... Malik Müller took a three-pointer from the corner, but came up just short at the buzzer and the Hokies fell by two points ... Bibbs recorded his first career double-double, tying a career-high with 22 points and grabbing a career-high 11 rebounds ... Devin Wilson added 13 points and eight assists.
Series Against The Seminoles
This will be the 49th meeting between to two schools, in a series that began in 1968 ... The Hokies are 20-28 all-time against the Seminoles … Tech lost the last meeting, 70-50 in Tallahassee on Feb. 5, 2014 … Tech is 5-17 against FSU in road games and 16-21 in conference games (5-9 in the ACC and 11-12 in Metro Conference games) … This is the first of two meetings between the two schools this season.
