Rutledge to perform prior to Syracuse game
Local favorite band to appear in Cassell Coliseum at 10:30 a.m. Saturday

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The band Rutledge will perform in Cassell Coliseum on Saturday morning, Jan. 3, immediately preceding the Virginia Tech versus Syracuse ACC men’s basketball game.

All ticket holders for the Hokies’ ACC home opener against the Orange are invited to attend, and enjoy the sounds of Rutledge pregame. The band, a favorite both on campus and in the community, will begin their show shortly after gates open for the noon game, at approximately 10:30 a.m. The band will be located in the stands of the arena, in the space usually occupied by the Virginia Tech Pep Band.

“We are truly excited about performing before Saturday’s Virginia Tech basketball game,” Rutledge lead vocalist, Adam Rutledge said. “The Hokies have always been near and dear to my heart and to be involved in such an exciting event is a great privilege. We can’t wait to get into the Cassell and add to the atmosphere before this big game.”
