BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The Virginia Tech Athletics Department has announced that they will host a Faculty Appreciation Game at the men’s basketball game against The Citadel on Dec. 20 and a Staff Appreciation Game at the men’s basketball game against Presbyterian on Dec. 27. The women’s basketball team will host a Faculty/Staff Appreciation Game at their game against Florida State on Sunday, January 18.

Faculty and staff can claim a limited number of complimentary tickets to the men’s basketball games beginning Dec. 16 in the Lane Stadium Ticket Office, beginning at 9 a.m. and going until 4 p.m., or while supplies last. A voucher for admission to the women’s game will be sent out via campus mail in early January.

Faculty/Staff members can also claim a complimentary ticket to additional basketball games over break. The games included in the Faculty/Staff pick up are women’s basketball versus Radford on Sunday, Dec. 21 and against Hofstra on Tuesday, Dec. 30 and the men’s basketball game against VMI on Monday, Dec. 22.

At the specifically designated Faculty and Staff Appreciation games (December 20, 27 and January 18), faculty and staff will also be provided with a voucher for 10% off the official online retailer of Virginia Tech Athletics. They will receive half-price hot dogs and drinks during the game, when showing their ID at concession stand. Faculty and Staff will also have the opportunity to win tickets to upcoming games and Nike apparel throughout each game. Select Faculty/Staff members will be recognized during the respective games.

Although there are a limited number of complimentary tickets available to each game, tickets are available for purchase for the games. To purchase tickets, please call or visit the Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-VATECH4 or go online to Hokietickets.com
