BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department has announced a free fan event where Hokies can meet and interact with the men’s basketball team and coaching staff. The tip-off tailgate will be held Saturday, October 11 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Salem Family YMCA.

The event will include autographs with the basketball team, pictures with the HokieBird, shooting hoops and interactive stations with the team, complimentary Papa Johns pizza and more!

“This event is very important to the program, as we reach out to the fans who are so good to us,” head coach Buzz Williams said. “Our players and staff enjoy meeting and getting to know the Hokie Nation and this opportunity in Salem will be the first of many similar functions. It should be a lot of fun for everyone.”
