Virginia Tech closes out this three-game home stand on Wednesday night, as it hosts Clemson in Cassell Coliseum. The contest, scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, will be televised live on regional sports networks.

About Tonight’s Game

The Hokies are 8-7 on the season and 1-2 in ACC action.

The Tigers are 11-4 overall and 2-1 in the ACC after a 72-59 win over Duke on Saturday.

The Hokies lead the all-time series, 15-13.

BC 62, VT 59

The Hokies dropped a tight one to Boston College, 62-59, in Cassell Colisem on Saturday afternoon.

Adam Smith came off the bench to score a team-high 12 points for the Hokies.

C.J. Barksdale scored 11 points and Jarell Eddie added 10 points for the Hokies.

Joey van Zegeren tied a career-high with five blocked shots in the game.

Scoring 1,000

With his first three-pointer in the loss to #2/2 Syracuse, Jarell Eddie became the 44th player in school history to score 1,000 career points.

Eddie currently has 1,013 points at Virginia Tech and is 43rd in career scoring for the Hokies.

Game No. 2,500

Tonight is the 2,500th game in Virginia Tech men’s basketball history.

On This Date

Tonight is the ninth anniversary of the Hokies’ first-ever ACC victory ... On Jan. 15, 2005, the Hokies defeated Clemson, 59-57, in Cassell Coliseum to mark the achievement.
