Virginia Tech hosts rival VMI in Cassell Coliseum Monday night at 7 p.m. This concludes the Hokies' four-game homestand to open the 2013-14 season.

The Hokies are 2-1 on the season.

The Keydets are 3-1 after defeating Bluefield State, 121-80, on Saturday.

The Hokies defeated Western Carolina, 79-61, in Cassell Coliseum on Friday night.

Tech jumped out to a 20-point halftime lead and never trailed in the contest.

Jarell Eddie led all scorers with 17 points, while Ben Emelogu scored 16 points off the bench and Trevor Thompson recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

800 Points

With his first bucket in the win over WCU, Jarell Eddie reached the 800 career point plateau.

A Young Captain

James Johnson has named freshman Ben Emelogu a captain for the 2013-14 season.

Barksdale Returns

C.J. Barksdale will return to the Virginia Tech line-up tonight following his three-game suspension.

Fourth in Nine

Tonight marks the Hokies’ fourth game in the first nine days of the 2013-14 college basketball season.
