Virginia Tech will host rival West Virginia on Tuesday afternoon in Cassell Coliseum. This will be the 77th meeting between the two schools in a series that goes back to 1920.

The Mountaineers are 1-0 on the year after defeating Mount St. Mary’s, 77-62, in Morgantown on Friday night.

WVU leads the all-time series, 47-29 and won the last meeting between the two schools, 68-67, in Morgantown last season.

The Hokies fell to USC Upstate, 64-63, in Cassell Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.

Tech was led by Jarell Eddie with 18 points and Cadarian Raines with a career-high 17 points.

Former Tech standout Bobby Beecher will be inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 15.

Jarell Eddie and Christian Beyer were named to the 2012-13 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men’s Basketball Team. It was Eddie’s second year on the team and the first season for Beyer.
