GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech guard Erick Green and forward Dorian Finney-Smith have been named to 2012 All-ACC teams, as selected by members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association and released by the ACC Office on Monday.

Green, a junior from Winchester, Va., was named to the All-ACC second team. Tech’s leading scorer, Green received 70 points in the voting. He is joined on the second team by Kendall Marshall of North Carolina, Terrell Stoglin of Maryland, Michael Snaer of Florida State and C.J. Leslie of NC State.

Finney-Smith, a freshman from Portsmouth, Va.., was selected to the ACC All-Freshman team. Finney-Smith leads the Hokies in rebounding, is second in blocked shots and is third in assists and minutes played. He is joined on the freshman team by Austin Rivers of Duke, Ryan Anderson of Boston College, Shane Larkin of Miami and Nick Faust of Maryland. Finney-Smith was the third-highest vote-getter on the All-Freshman team.

The All-ACC first team is comprised of Tyler Zeller of North Carolina, Mike Scott of Virginia, John Henson of North Carolina, Rivers and Harrison Barnes of North Carolina. North Carolina joins the 2002 Duke team with three first team All-ACC performers. The third team consists of Seth Curry of Duke, C.J. Harris of Wake Forest, Lorenzo Brown of NC State, Kenny Kadji of Miami and Mason Plumlee of Duke. Bernard James of Florida State, Andre Young of Clemson, Travis McKie of Wake Forest and Durand Scott of Miami were honorable mention.ACSMA also announed its All-Defensive team, which is comprised of Henson, James, Jontel Evans of Virginia, Snaer and Young.

The Hokies open play in the 2012 ACC Tournament on Thursday night. Tech, the tournament’s 10th seed, will play the seven seed Clemson at 7 p.m. in Philips Arena.
