The Virginia Tech Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, announced today that reseating of Lane Stadium will take place in 2012 and reseating of Cassell Coliseum will occur in 2013.

Staff members are formulating timelines, policies and procedures, and gathering new information from peer institutions to better enhance this experience for our fans.

“At the time of our first reseating, we felt the appropriate time to reseat again would be no earlier than five years and no later than seven years,” Tech AD Jim Weaver said. “This approach would allow for continued growth and success of the athletics department.”

More information will be provided in the coming months to fully educate Hokie Club members and season ticket holders on the entire process.

“Without the commitment from the Hokie Nation, we would be unable to provide the necessary funding and resources our athletics department needs,” Virginia Tech Athletic Fund Director of Development Lu Merritt said. “We fully appreciate their support.”
