Paige Petty racks up another accolade
Petty the only freshman to make the ACC’s First Team for her performance this season, was named First Team All-South Region by the IWLCA Friday afternoon. The midfielder from Bernardsville, New Jersey has scored 55 goals on the season including four in Friday’s NCAA tournament triumph over Georgetown.
Glatthorn honored by IWLCA
Senior defender Kelly Glatthorn also accumulated another postseason honor. The Norristown, Pennsylvania native who was a 2018 First Team All-ACC performer was included on IWLCA’s Second Team All-South.
Against Georgetown, Glatthorn secured three draw controls, three ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Tech beat the heat on the artificial turf field at Cardinal Gibbons High School, where temperatures approached 90 degrees.
On Saturday morning, the Hokies hit the training field for light stick work and stretching with athletic trainer Anne Bryan.
The Hokies will national 2 seed North Carolina, in what will be the teams’ third matchup of the season. First draw is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, from Cardinal Gibbons High School.
Tech has fallen to the Heels twice in 2018, most recently at the ACC Championships in Durham on April 27th. UNC is led by Tewaaraton Award Finalist Marie McCool as well as ACC Freshman of the Year Jamie Ortega.
