BLACKSBURG – After Sunday afternoon’s 17-10 win over Delaware, Virginia Tech found itself moving up one spot to 16th in the Inside Lacrosse Poll Monday.

Tech also moved up to No. 17 in the IWLCA Coaches Poll.

The Hokies saw several individual career highs set in the victory over the Blue Hens Sunday.

-Senior attacker Emma Harden scored five goals, eclipsing her previous best of four, which she scored in 2017 against Louisville.
-Tristan McGinley secured 13 draw controls on the afternoon, a new career best. It was the sixth time in her career that she has recorded double digit figures in that category.

McGinley also added five points (three goals, two assists) taking her season tally to 25.
-Julia Bolte, who leads the Hokies in assists in 2018 added another three, assisting McGinley, Paige Petty and Harden. The transfer from Oregon also scored four goals against the Blue Hens, tallying seven points in the contest.

Wednesday’s game versus the VCU Rams has been moved to the Indoor Practice Facility instead of Thompson Field as originally scheduled due to impending weather. First draw will remain at 5 p.m.

The Hokies stand at 7-3 on the season heading into their final week of non-conference competition. Wednesday’s matchup with VCU will be the programs’ first meeting and on Saturday, the Hokies will travel to Elon for a 1 p.m. game.
